What is I-Gas?
I-Gas is a qualification for maintenance personnel and gas fitters working in industry to demonstrate competence.
So who are the CEA ( Combustion Engineering Association ) ?
They are a registered educational charity. They help to reinforce the science and best practice of combustion and engineering.
Why do they offer?
Guidance regulation 3 of the “GAS Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 ACoP” States
Gas work for those working at premises that fall outside the scope of the Regulations should only be undertaken by a person who has successfully completed an appropriate full training course followed by an assessment of competence
The CEA’s I-GAS qualification has been created to fill this gap, in collaboration with industrial gas training providers, manufacturers of combustion equipment and employers. It is the only formal training and accreditation scheme currently available that is specifically designed for maintenance staff and technicians working with gas in industrial premises.
Well done to Brodie Mack pictured above and Martin Jackson for gaining their Level 3 accreditation. This a great achievement for them, and also for Therser UK.
What does this mean for Therser UK?
This gives our customers peace of mind, that when our team are working on projects on their site we have the correct training and qualifications.
