Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Installation Tradesperson specializing in kilns to join Therser UK, a leading provider of high-quality kiln solutions. As an Electrical Installation Tradesperson, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems specifically designed for kilns. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of kilns, contributing to the overall success of Therser UK and our clients.
Responsibilities:
Electrical System Installation: Install, assemble, and connect electrical components, equipment, and systems required for kiln operation. This includes wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, control panels, transformers, and other electrical devices according to specifications and Therser UK's standards of excellence.
Kiln Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical systems associated with kilns. Identify and resolve electrical issues, such as wiring problems, faulty components, or damaged circuits, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal kiln performance.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to Therser UK's safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Ensure proper grounding, wiring insulation, and electrical connections to prevent electrical hazards and potential accidents.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities performed on kilns. Generate reports on findings, recommendations, and completed tasks, ensuring clear communication with supervisors and clients.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Therser UK's project managers, engineers, and other tradespersons to ensure the successful integration of electrical systems within kiln projects. Coordinate tasks, share knowledge, and provide technical support to achieve project objectives and deadlines.
Upgrades and Modifications: Assist in the design and implementation of electrical system upgrades, modifications, and retrofits for kilns. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements that enhance kiln performance, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.
Code Compliance: Follow local, national, and international electrical codes, regulations, and standards applicable to kiln installations. Stay informed about any updates or revisions to ensure compliance and adherence to safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Installation Tradesperson, preferably with a focus on kilns or similar industrial equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components associated with kilns is essential.
Electrical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices. Experience with electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Communication and Collaboration: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment. Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients, supervisors, and other team members professionally.
Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively.
