Therser UK's state-of-the-art One Car, Downdraught Gas fired Shuttle Kiln with a gantry door specifically designed for technical ceramics is a testament to precision engineering and innovation in the field of industrial kilns. This cutting-edge kiln boasts a combustion system that is modulating in Ratio Air/Fuel with pre-heated combustion, ensuring optimal efficiency and temperature control.
With features such as one afterburner and four high-temperature burners (Type Eclipse TJSR) equipped with spark ignition, flame failure controls, and shutoff valves, this kiln is designed to deliver consistent and reliable performance. The four independent control zones with excess air, stoichiometric, and pulse firing modes, along with the SCADA system, provide operators with advanced control and monitoring capabilities.
Fueled by natural gas and operating in an atmosphere, this kiln is capable of reaching a firing temperature of 1600°C, with a maximum design temperature of 1650°C. The kiln door, secured with wheel-type door clamps, ensures quick and easy access for loading and unloading.
What is SCADA? Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) is a system of software and hardware elements that allows industrial organizations to: Control industrial processes locally or at remote locations Directly interact with devices such as sensors, valves, pumps, motors, and more through human-machine interface (HMI) software
With a nominal capacity of 1 cubic meter and precise setting dimensions of 1000mm wide, 1000mm high, and 1000mm long, this kiln is designed to meet the demanding requirements of the technical ceramics industry. The temperature profile range of +/-1°C at soak further highlights the level of precision and control offered by this state-of-the-art kiln.
